The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program Is Now Available
What you Need to Know

Vast Broadband is partnering with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to help families who are struggling financially due to COVID-19. The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBBP) is designed to subsidize broadband costs for qualifying households during the pandemic, and is available for a limited time. The program was established by Congress as part of the most recent COVID-19 relief bill.

The program is now available, and this webpage provides information about how to apply, and what happens after your application is completed and your eligibility is confirmed. If you have additional questions, please call us

How to I find out if I qualify and what are the options for applying for the EBB program?

  • Online: The easiest and most efficient way to see if you qualify and to apply is by doing so online. Click here to apply.
  • If you are unable to apply online, please visit a Vast Broadband retail location near you to apply. Click here to find the closest location.

What happens after my application is complete?

The Universal Service Administrative Co (USAC) will share the results with you. If you apply online, you may receive an immediate approval if you are qualified.

If USAC cannot prove your eligibility automatically, they may request additional documentation and provide information on how you can submit documents for review.


What happens if I am approved?

After receiving your eligibility determination, please contact Vast Broadband to enroll in the EBBP Program. Please call 1-855-814-3963 Monday — Friday between 8:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. to review the EBBP program and your account.


How much is the benefit?

Eligible households will receive up to a $50 monthly discount on broadband services, and up to $75 for people living on tribal lands.


How long will the benefit last?

EBBP is a temporary program that expires when funds are exhausted, or six months after the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) declares the end of the COVID-19 health emergency (whichever comes first).


How many people in my household are eligible to receive the Emergency Broadband benefit?

If any one member of a household is eligible, then that household is eligible to receive the Emergency Broadband Benefit. However, the Emergency Broadband Benefit is limited to one monthly service discount per eligible household.
