(SIOUX FALLS, SD) Since Vast Broadband’s launch in early 2015, the company has been working to make much-needed upgrades to its network allowing for faster Internet speeds and more TV channels. Earlier this year, Vast successfully completed a large-scale channel line-up transition across the system, adding up to 50 new channels in some areas, most in HD. At the same time, the company introduced a consistent channel guide for a better viewing experience. This transition paves the way for the highly anticipated TiVo launch, expected sometime in early 2017.
Additionally, on December 1, 2016 Vast Broadband will increase Internet speeds in order to meet the growing need for more bandwidth. 30 and 60 Mbps Internet will increase to 80 Mbps and 100 Mbps will jump to 125 Mbps. Availability of 200 Mbps has also been expanded to communities served by Vast in eastern South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa. This means 200 Mbps is now available to all Vast customers.
“This year has been an incredibly busy one for Vast,” said Jim Gleason, president and CEO of Vast Broadband. “As promised, we’ve invested in our people, products and infrastructure in order to bring the very best technology, products and service to our customers. We are committed to continual improvement and to the kind of exemplary customer service that most companies talk about but few deliver. We will deliver.”
